Happy Harvest Block

I made my first glass block last night.  I used Armour Etch etching cream to do the front and back.  I left in on for about 45 minutes to make sure it etched.  I used the Cricut Thanksgiving cartridge for the images, and some ribbon from Walmart.  I had trouble finding the white lights for the inside.  I found them today at Target for $1.99 for a 50 count set.  I made this as a birthday gift for someone.  Unfortunately, I don't know whether she liked it or not.  I gave it to her today at a big gathering.  I found a plastic box at Target today that fit the block pretty well. I used fabric to wrap it in as the box was clear.  The person who I gave the gift to told someone else to put it in the kitchen and I never saw the gift again, or heard anything else about it.  I liked it anyway, and it gave me practice to make more glass blocks for gifts.  Hopefully, the next time that I make one, the person will actually open it, or acknowledge that they received it!  Oh well, at least I learned how to make a glass block!

Some cards made for Circle Sisters

These are some cards I have made for some of our Circle sisters who are going through a battle with cancer right now. Praying for all of these ladies and their families as they go through this together.

Halloween Circle Challenge

This plate was made for the Cricut Circle challenge.  I used a clear acrylic plate and Cricut vinyl. It is my first time trying vinyl on a plate. I used several cartridges. I used A Child's Year, Pumkin Carvings, and Gypsy font for the cuts.  This project  was done very quickly to make it in time for the challenge.  There are many very creative projects already posted on this challenge.  It is a random drawing challenge, or I would not enter with all of the really talented scrapbookers.   I

A new blog to post scrapbook layouts and more

Welcome to a brand new blog.  Well, blogging is new to me anyway.  I guess it is welcome to the 21st century time!:) I hope to use this blog to add pictures of our scrapbooking layouts, cards, home decor and more.  I hope that it works.  Don't I sound confident? This was my challenge for the Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge on creativity.  I used A Child's Year and Locker Talk.  I thought of my DD who loves to paint and be artistic.  That is what I think of when I think of creativity. She is happiest when she is creating.  She helped to add the bling to this layout.  She loves her bling!
